Initial poll results show a strong demand for bench and pilot scale forward osmosis systems.
Based on the votes from the initial 29 respondents, there is a strong demand in the FO market for forward osmosis pilot systems (24% of votes) as well as bench/lab scale systems for determining forward osmosis membrane performance (17% of votes).
From a forward osmosis membrane module perspective, initial results show a higher demand for modules above 1m2 membrane area.
Notably, there appears to be little demand for industrial forward osmosis systems, indicating that the market is still awaiting a track-record of proven FO feasibility in real life applications before committing to the technology on a large scale.
We will present a second update on our FO market survey once the poll hits 100 respondents.
